There is no need to gush about how great Der Weg einer Freiheit is, everyone should be aware of it by now. That their first demo (!) has been such a stellar work - that is another story, often forgotten beneath the magnificence of recent outputs. If you are even slightly interested in black metal, this s/t is very much worth your time. Christian Bass' (now-Heaven Shall Burn) drumwork lets the sky crumble above you. An inexorably strong debut and herald of the greatness to follow. Pristine.
